SPOTLIGHT
How to Clean Up Your Garden this Spring
As snow banks melt and the days are warmer, many of us are eager to get outside and kick off a new gardening season with a spring clean-up of the yard. Hard as it may be to resist the urge to head into your garden beds and borders to tidy up, there are many reasons to be patient, especially if you wish to support pollinators and other wildlife. Depending on the weather, this may mean waiting until late April/early May before raking up leaves and other plant material or cutting down stems.

PG is on the airwaves!
PG co-chair, Clare Irwin, was interviewed by Guelph Politico on the importance of pollinators and how they relate to the fight against climate change, how to create pollinator-friendly habitat in your gardens, and what else you can do to help.
You can also catch PG's Karin Davidson-Taylor in her interview with University of Guelph students taking a BeeLand seminar. Karin discusses how native bees are an essential part of the global ecosystem, the double-edged sword of 'Save the Bees' media, and more!
