Join us for a fun, family-friendly afternoon anytime between 1pm and 4pm, where you can learn about pollinators and the pollinator-friendly plants that will support them. With the help of volunteer experts, use an insect net to look at bees, butterflies, and other pollinating insects up close; identify the pollinator-friendly plants in our gardens along the river; make your own solitary bee nest using natural materials; discuss the current status of pollinators and how you can help; and more. Plus you can take home a free pollinator friendly plant!

Visit the pollinator-friendly gardens planted along the trail. A short (10 minute walk) takes you to 5 different gardens that will truly inspire you to create your own pollinator habitat. There will be two scheduled walking tours at 2pm and 3pm.

Park on Riverview Drive, and meet in Riverside Park near the corner of Riverview Dr and Speedvale Ave.

The 2Rivers Festival is an annual festival celebrating the beautiful Speed and Eramosa rivers, which meet in the city of Guelph, Ontario. Since its beginning in 2012, people have gathered to share, enjoy and discover all that these rivers bring to our community. By showing that we value our rivers, we contribute to actions that will help to protect them.

This year’s 2Rivers Festival will feature a wide variety of FREE river-related events to attend in May and June 2017. Read more about this year's festival.
